Highlands Elementary School in Edina, Minnesota has been working together as a community of students, teachers, parents and administrators to transform a traditional school into a green qualified school environment.
This Friday, May 22, 2009 will be a Open House Celebration with media, community leaders, and the Edina school district community.
Student led tours of Zero Waste Classrooms, Vertical Axis Wind Project, Organics Recycling, Green Team Projects, Discovery Garden, Husky Woods and many other green practices.
