Make Your Voices Heard

Earth Day Network and our partners have registered and educated tens of thousands of new voters in states across America over the past nine months-voters who care about climate change, energy and our children's health. Now is the time to help us get out the vote! Earth Day Network is working hard to turnout new voters in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, Florida, and Nevada, keeping the electorate both informed and involved in the latest news in health and climate change. We need your help. Donate Now and help us break the record for turnout!

We Saved 125,000 Jobs - and Potentially Millions More

Thanks to you, 125,000 renewable energy jobs were saved last month - and the future of the green energy industry is looking up. Thanks to Earth Day Network's advocacy efforts, and our members' phone calls and letters to lawmakers, Congress passed - and the President signed into law - renewable energy tax credits for solar and wind projects and funding to keep 125,000 people in renewable energy jobs.

The bill had been deadlocked, and investments for solar and wind projects looked like they might be put on ice. Fortunately, your phone calls helped secure its passage and made clear to Congress that investing in renewable energy is a wise choice for our future.

How to Raise Test Scores and Lower Cholesterol During the School Day

Worried about your kid's cholesterol going up as his test scores go down? Good news; thanks in large part to your help, the No Child Left Inside Act passed in the House, and is on to the Senate.

The bill guarantees that money gets put aside for environmental education, which gets kids outdoors and encourages creative analytical thinking. It pays off: participants in environmental education score better in reading, math, and writing, and are more enthusiastic for their studies - and physically active during the day. Learn more about the benefits of environmental education and how NCLI will affect our children.

Chevy Chase Auction a Success for Green Schools!

A big thank you goes out to actor Chevy Chase and environmental education guru Jayni Chase, a member of the Earth Day Network Board of Directors. Jayni and Chevy sponsored the Fifth Annual Chevy Chase Green Schools Auction. The online auction sold exciting items like a trip to the Galapagos and a chance to meet Robert Downey Jr., all to benefit Earth Day Network's Green Schools campaign. Thanks to everyone who bid on the auction items and supported our campaign!

Nearly 1 billion people worldwide lack safe, clean water. To raise awareness on World Water Monitoring Day in September, Earth Day Network distributed free water monitoring kits in over 38 countries!
